"Ok, all I have to do now is find the others and escape. And evade all of their complex technology." Laura thought to herself. "The most important thing right now is to tell Rebecca and the others to not meddle in this." Laura thought and thought. There is no way that she could access her equipment: she had been stripped of that a long time ago. Maybe she could access a phone... no, she'd be listened in on by the gang. She couldn't escape. How would she keep the others away?

"I think that the new model works. She's not resisting. She's lost her other memories!" Jace told his dad.
"She might be acting. You need to keep a closer eye on her." He replied.
"But Dad, the only time when I don't see her is when she's bathing, changing, sleeping, and going to the restroom. I can't watch over her all the time. It would be look suspicious."
"Well then, set up cameras so that you can."
"Dad!"
"What? We'll edify it when it comes to the screen so you won't have to see her body. We'll only have to see what she's doing."
"Dad, I'm not going to videotape her--" Jace made motions with his hands. "It's just not right." He finished.
"Oh, alright. What do you do all that time together anyway?"
"Well, we talk about her memories, and we play games."
"Go take her outside."
"What?"
"Take her outside on a date. Trust me, you'll have fun!"
"Ok…"
***************
"A date? Just you and me?" Laura asked. She didn't turn sixteen until July, and it was around May. She knew that she would be in trouble with the bishop, but she really needed to find a way to escape. This was the perfect chance! But if she refused, it would look suspicious to Jace. She scrambled through her fake memories that the microscopic chip on her forehead gave her for an excuse. Then she found one. "Wouldn't it be better if you asked Miguela?"
Jace was stuck. "Who?"
"The crush that you've had forever. Don't you remember her? I'm your best friend. I know. You still like her, don't you? You were telling me about it last month." Jace remembered making that person up and just went with the flow.
"Yeah, I guess I should ask her out." And left the room.
" Whew! That was a close one!" Laura thought.

Enver watched as the jet landed. The signal had been successful. The HIA initiatives were closing in.
****************
Valdete watched the scene from the window. The agents hopped out of the jet and revealed themselves to her husband. They were merely kids. Dangerous kids, she knew, but she couldn’t help feeling for them. The short blonde one looked like she’d been through hell. Valdete watched as the three agents walked up to Enver and began to talk with him. He pulled out the file and handed it over. If things work out, she thought, these kids should be safe.

“Welcome aboard, Mister Fakaj,” Rebecca addressed, handing the file to Caitlin.
“Please, call me Enver,” the man answered in a heavy Albanian accent.
Caitlin began to flip through the files as the jet rose up into the air. “How did you know we were coming?” she questioned.
Enver smiled. This must be the smart tech that had gone through his computer. He could tell by her careful, steady, and experienced hands. “I tracked your path through my files. Yes, I know the codes. I worked with the HIA for quite a while before I came back to Kosovo.”
“Smart,” Caitlin answered distractedly, and typed rapidly into her laptop.
“You said this thing could be tracked?” Xarissa asked, posing the question at Enver.
“Yes,” he answered. “I’ve been following this ship for a few weeks. It seems to me that it is the main water transportation and shipment for the Chrys Ghoad gang. I believe that is where they would be holding your friend.”
“Why do you think that?” Rebecca asked.
“It says here that it is greatly structured and fortified,” Caitlin answered instead. “It’s been in operation for at least two years, very trustworthy.”
“Exactly,” Enver agreed, giving the girl another smile. She really was extremely smart.
“Why didn’t they just take a plane or something? Wouldn’t that be faster?” Xarissa asked.
Caitlin looked at Enver questioningly. He nodded at her, and she answered the question. “HIA and national airlines inspect the skies extremely closely, especially over DC. We were only able to fly there because I sent the HIA a message about the bomb, and they cleared us for flight. My guess is that a terrorist group doesn’t have that kind of inside connection, and would probably get shot down if they tried to fly there without clearance.”
“Even though the National Harbor is also very careful about who goes in and out of the waterway, it is less likely for a group such as theirs to get captured or killed. Not many people know about the Zog Deti and its true uses,” Enver added.
“It also leaves enough time for them to interrogate Laura and find out whatever they need from her before they arrive at their destination,” Caitlin finished. She crawled up to the front and plugged her laptop into the GPS system. “Sarah, I sent a satellite transmission to the Zog Deti. You can just follow these coordinates.”
“So what do we do now?” Xarissa asked.
“We find that boat,” Rebecca said.
