It wasn’t a trick. She was standing right down the hallway, looking at some gadget in her hand. How had she survived? Laura disappeared around the corner, and he followed. He debated telling her that he was actually on her side. He didn’t know if she would believe him. After all they’d been through, he guessed…probably not.

Rebecca sat at her desk, working on the watch. Conner sat on her bed behind her, watching her. “This isn’t really like HIA technology, but I think I can fix your problem using something like it,” Rebecca said, delicately pulling out another piece of the watch with her tweezers.
“No thank you,” Conner said. “You know my superiors wouldn’t agree with using any kind of HIA technology.”
Rebecca turned around in her office chair. “They need to get over that. You need to look at your priorities here. If you want things to work right, you’re going to need to use different technologies.”
“You know I can’t change that,” Conner said.
“I know,” Rebecca answered, turning back. “I just hope they see the disadvantage of this someday.”

Finally! She found them! The moment that Laura had been training for. She had been waiting for this for nearly 4 years. Laura unlocked the door and opened it. There they were!

"Kael, what do you know about your brother, Jace?" Xarissa asked Kael sternly. They had successfully found Kael and he was willing to talk, but he was rather slow about it.
"Jace and I were separated when he was 10, around 5 years ago,” Kael answered slowly. “I've been keeping a close eye on him and our father for about 3 years now. Jace has been training his entire life to be a terrorist. He hasn't done any important missions until very recently. He was sent to America to spy on some Agency that's been messing with the gang for a long time now. Ghoad wants to get rid of that agency. His mission was then changed to capture some of the spies he had seen. He captured some, but they escaped. Then he captured another spy, who was supposed to know some important combination, but she didn't know it. They apparently got the combination from someone else, but then killed him before they had tested it, when they discovered that the combination that that he had given them was a fluke." The girls sighed with relief and kept their silence as he continued. "Jace then came back here and stayed here until Ghoad killed our father due to his failure of keeping a spy out of Montenegro. He then gave our father's position to Jace, who is now working on finding that spy before she finds three important prisoners. I couldn't find very much on the prisoners, except for their names and that they hold a very critical piece of intelligence to the gang that they haven't been able to pull out of them."
"And the names are…?" Sarah asked.
Kael’s eyes narrowed. “Confidential. You already know everything you need to. Go back to where you came from.”
The others were surprised by his sudden hostility. “What do you mean?”
“It doesn’t matter, right? Just go away.” He walked to the door and opened it.
“We need you to come back to the HIA with us,” Sarah said calmly. “There are some other things we need to know.”
“You work for the Agency?” Kael asked tensely.
“Umm…”
“Get out,” he said acidly.
“We just…”
“Get out!” He clenched his fists and the agents could tell he was having a hard time controlling his anger.
They had no other choice but to leave.
****************
Laura looked around the room. There weren’t just the agents in the room. There was someone else, someone she didn’t recognize.
It didn’t matter. She had to get them out of here. She had to take everyone.
****************
Jace put his hand to his head. He’d really messed up here. He shouldn’t have followed her here. If he had just stayed on his chair and pretended he never saw her, then he wouldn’t have this on his head. Now he had to do something. He couldn’t fail or he would meet the same fate as his father. Why did Laura have to come right at that moment and put him in a tight spot?
*****************
Laura had gotten everyone out of the room and had turned a corner when she bumped into Jace. Jace looked her in the eyes and aimed his gun at her. Laura stood still, daring Jace to do it. Jace was obviously struggling to pull the trigger. Laura waited. He made his decision.

"So we now know that Enver didn't give the gang the right information, which is good. We also know that Laura's on a rescue mission, which we already knew. Most of it was stuff that we already knew." Xarissa summarized.
"Well, we did what we needed to do. Let's go home." Sarah said, apparently homesick.
"I want to know why he started to act bitter towards us when he found that we're from the HIA." Caitlin wondered, rubbing her shoulder.
"I do too." Sarah admitted.
"Then what are we waiting for?" Xarissa asked. "Let's do some spying!"
