"We can't go to Fiji!" She shouted.
"Why not?" Tyler asked, playing with a ball.
"Well, I can't go to Fiji." Katie rephrased.
"Why? What's in Fiji?" Sarah asked, concerned.
"I don't think that right now is the time to tell you, but I have enemies from other missions there. They will recognize me in a heartbeat and BOOM! Bye-bye Katie!" Katie responded.
"You can take one of the smaller planes and go somewhere else. We'll just go to Fiji and drop these guys off there,” Armaan compromised.
Katie thought for a moment, then nodded in agreement.

"Why are we here?" Kalyia asked.
"What?" Laura asked, not paying attention," I know it's here somewhere...I haven't been here for nearly 8 years. It's so nice to see them again."
Laura waved to some teenagers, who recognized her and ran up to her.
"Laura! Va gor du her?" they asked. Kalyia didn't understand them.
Laura said something back to them, and they nodded, continuing to speak their language. Laura kept speaking back to them, apparently having a good time.
"Emil, I forgot where Mormor lives. We need to go there really quickly, can you take us there?" Laura finally asked in some English. Emil just noticed that Kalyia and Imraan was with Laura, then whispered something to Laura.
Laura nodded and said, "It's ok, they can't understand Danish."
Emil smiled, then said in English, "Follow me!"
Then he led them eastward.

Conner knew Rebecca would probably try something like this. That’s why he had already tied a bungee cord to her foot. It wasn’t his best idea, but it was all he could do. He watched as the cord grew taut, and checked the knots that he had tied to connect it to a handle in the bell tower. He looked over the edge to see Rebecca swinging in the air, gently hitting the wall over and over again until she stopped. He winced as he thought how the first initial hit against the tower must have felt. It was a short rope, so the momentum shouldn’t have taken her far enough to crack any ribs, but he knew something else was probably broken. He grabbed the rope, but then he realized he didn’t have much leverage and would probably fall off the edge if he tried to pull her up. He climbed back down the bell tower and ran to find Director Bowers.

Rebecca’s knee was broken, she could tell. The initial adrenaline cut off the pain for the first few seconds, and she tried to pull herself up. But the rush didn’t last long, and the pain came shooting up through her knee into her thigh and down into her calves. She looked up (or down—basically she looked at her feet which were above her) to see one foot tied with a bungee cord and twisted at an odd angle. Her head drooped and she blacked out from the pain and the exhaustion.

“Hey, you agreed on this, too, you know,” Sarah said to Armaan. “The whole point was to keep you safe.”
“That wasn’t the whole point. You said there were some secret undercover agents in Fiji that you needed to converse with,” Armaan replied. He looked back at Katie. “Besides, if she says she’s not safe there, then none of us are safe there. We’ll drop you two off in Fiji, and then I can fly myself and Katie to wherever she wants to go.”
Sarah looked at him skeptically, then looked out the window. “Alright. Just make sure you come get us in four days.”

Lykaios looked around the room. The three brothers he had called were all in the room. Lev sat in the corner, calmly waiting for the secret meeting to begin. Lorand was checking out a new gun he had just received from his friends. Lensar sat uncomfortably in the corner as Lykaios fingered his favorite dagger, gouging out scores into the dark wood, carving a picture of a wolf attacking an innocent herd of sheep. He could tell out of the corner of his eye that Lensar was beginning to get anxious, so he stabbed his dagger into the table and looked up. “I think we all know why I called you here,” he began. “As our father said, the SAGUB will soon be uniting together the separate facilities under our control, creating something he calls the USS.”
Lorand nodded as he looked down the barrel of his StG44, scoping the room. Lensar flinched when it passed him, and Lorand smiled. The second-youngest boy had always been such a wimp.
Lykaios continued. “Well, I say we make our move now, sliding the power out from under the resistance facilities before they can do anything. Some people say the HIA might even be expecting Gideon to come in.”
“They don’t measure the force he has working with him, even though a few corporations have been failing,” Lev said.
Lykaios smiled. Finally he was getting how things worked around here. “Possibly so, but they won’t be caught as off-guard as Gideon would like them to be. The SSAWPS is already pinpointing the ASW, and I say we help them bring it down.”
Lorand snorted. “The Secret Society to Augment Women’s Political Status? I’d rather not.”
Lykaios glared at him. “Those women are doing more now than you’ve ever done in your whole life, and they’re a strong group.”
“Then what do they need us for?” Lensar said in his annoying voice.
“They don’t need us. But we need them, per say. They can do all the dirty work, and we’ll go in to finish it up and make it look like we were the great heroes.” Then he added to himself, “Maybe Dad will finally notice me for once.”
“I don’t like that idea,” Lev said.
Lykaios sighed and grabbed his dagger, yanking it from the wood. Just when he thought his brother was finally getting somewhere in life, he threw his chances down the drain. “Well, it’s now or never. Whoever’s in, prepare for the wave that’s coming. Whoever’s out, I suggest you jump in the water soon, or you’ll be caught in the coming rip tide, and you may not survive.”

Rebecca woke up back in the nurse's office. She tried to lift her head, but was too weak to keep it up more than an inch off of her pillow. She sank her head down again.
"What is it with you and these sudden wounds?" Someone asked. Rebecca could tell that it was Xarissa.
Rebecca smiled and tried to say something, but all that came out was, "Blafigneragoadfa!"
Rebecca could tell that Xarissa was smiling, even though she couldn't see her.
"I know that I shouldn't ask, but why did you jump off of the bell tower?"
Rebecca remained silent. She couldn't talk! Why was Xarissa asking her this now?

"You sure that they'll be safe?" Tyler asked Sarah. They were walking in the tunnels beneath Fiji, looking for the entrance to where the agents were hiding. Sarah remained silent. She didn't know what to think anymore.
"I think that this is it." She said suddenly, changing the subject. Tyler grunted and ran along next to her. Sarah reached a blank and rugged wall and tapped it in some areas. The wall opened up and let Sarah and Tyler in, closing from behind them.
